About

Mission: to help women and men become aware of sexist thinking, speech, and actions.  Once aware of sexism we can avoid repeating it therefore breaking the cycle.

Undercover Feminist do not need to change the people around them.  Leading by example is change enough.

Watchdog Feminist are an important element of the feminist movement.  While we should appreciate their role we do not need to emulate them to be feminists.  Being a watchdog feminist carries inherent risks to your career and reputation.  Feminists need to gain power within the existing system to have the leverage necessary to change that system.  Let’s look at the most successful of CEOs when first hired they typically go with the flow of the company for several months to a year.  This allows them to learn how the company operates, gain the trust of their employees, and see where changes will have the most effect.

  • Welcome to Undercover Feminist

My name is Kelly Seiler. I'm an electrical engineer working in the defense industry. I realized that there was an undercurrent of sexism present at work... no one person or attitude seemed to be the culprit. I've decided to learn more about feminism to help me better combat sexism without damaging my reputation. I consider myself an undercover feminist. I'm a feminist, but I avoid pointing things out directly.

An excellent feminist primer! At 118 pages this one is a quick read, but still jam packed with information. It will change your perspective about what feminism is really about compared to the mass media portrayal.

While not a strictly feminist read, this books has lots of good tips to consider in an office environment.
